I found an agency company to help me import a batch of goods. I would like to know if there will be a customs duty and tax receipt for import through an agency? If so, is the receipt issued to the agency company or the actual importer? Are there any relevant regulations regarding this? I'm not sure, and I hope someone knowledgeable can help answer it.

Agency import does have a customs duty and tax receipt. According to relevant regulations, the customs will issue a customs duty and tax receipt. As for the issuing object of the receipt, there are two situations. If the agency company imports in its own name, which is a dual-heading customs declaration, the receipt will show the names of both the agency company and the actual importer, and both parties can use it for relevant tax processing and other purposes. In this case, after the agency company pays the customs duties, the actual importer can use the receipt for cost accounting and subsequent tax deductions. If the agency company imports in the name of the actual importer, the receipt will be issued directly to the actual importer. This allows the actual importer to directly obtain the receipt for their own financial and tax processes. Regardless of the method, it ensures that the actual import business has a corresponding customs duty and tax receipt.

In actual operations, it is necessary to communicate the receipt handling method with the agency company in advance to ensure it meets your business needs and financial regulations.

Generally, there is one. It specifically depends on the agreement in the agency import contract. Some agents will directly provide the tax receipt to the actual importer for their subsequent processing.

There is definitely a tax receipt, otherwise how can you prove that customs duties have been paid. If it's a dual-heading customs declaration, both companies' names will be on the tax receipt.

There is a tax receipt. If the agent imports in their own name, the tax receipt goes to the agent, who then settles with the actual importer; if it's in the name of the actual importer, the tax receipt goes directly to the actual importer.
