I don't understand trade formats very well, so I'd like to ask if trade between Macao and the mainland counts as re-export trade? I know that re-export trade refers to the business of importing and exporting goods in international trade, which is not conducted directly between the country of production and the country of consumption, but through a third country for transshipment. Does this situation between Macao and the mainland fit the definition of re-export trade? Please someone who understands help me answer.

Trade between Macao and the mainland usually does not constitute re-export trade. Re-export trade emphasizes the transshipment of goods in a third country or region, where the place of transshipment is neither the place of production nor final consumption of the goods. The mainland and Macao both belong to China, not different countries. If Macao imports goods from the mainland and sells them directly in Macao or for local consumption in Macao, it is not re-export trade. Even if Macao re-exports some mainland goods to other countries or regions, since the mainland and Macao are not different sovereign states, such trade is more of a regional trade cooperation rather than re-export trade in the strict sense. However, Macao, as a free port, has a special trade status, and there are some trade activities that utilize Macao's advantages, which may seem like re-export trade, but in essence, it is still trade between different regions within China.

In conclusion, from the perspective of trade essence and sovereignty, trade between Macao and the mainland does not meet the definition of re-export trade.

It is not re-export trade. The mainland and Macao are different regions within the same country. Re-export trade requires it to be between different countries, so trade between Macao and the mainland does not meet this characteristic.

Trade between Macao and the mainland is not re-export trade. Re-export trade involves different sovereign states, while the mainland and Macao are in a relationship within the same country; their trade is commercial exchange between different regions domestically.

It is not re-export trade. Although Macao has unique advantages in trade, the mainland and Macao both belong to China and do not meet the conditions for re-export trade to be conducted between different countries.

This situation does not fall under re-export trade. Trade between the mainland and Macao is based within the framework of one country, which is inconsistent with the concept of different countries required for re-export trade.

Obviously not re-export trade. The mainland and Macao are under one sovereign state, which contradicts the basic condition of re-export trade involving different countries.
